Great Emu War

Emus were eating Australian farmers' crops during the great depression, the government sent in the royal Australian artillery (three guys, a truck, and a couple machine guns) to quell the emu population. They didn't kill as many as they wanted (emus are hard to kill apparently), so Australia lost a war to Emus.

Debatable. In a way, Hitler was good for the world. As Hitler had to be shown as a bad guy, the Allies took a lot of his qualities and made them frowned upon. Had is not been for Hitler, Eugenics and ethnic cleansing would be a lot more acceptable to believe in

It should also be important to know that each and every person who contributed to history matters, this is because without them the society you know today would be extremely different.

There are many fascinating small events, that if they didn't occur would have made for a much different world history than the one we know. One that stands out for me is the case of Edwin Booth, who rescued Abraham Lincoln's son Todd from a serious injury on a train platform. Edwin was a supporter of Lincoln, while his brother Robert was opposed to the President's policies. Following Edwin's rescue of Todd the brothers had a permanent fallout. Later Robert went on to assassinate President Lincoln. One cannot help but wonder if the brotherly fallout would have been so severe and if Lincoln would have spared the fatal bullet had Edwin not saved little Todd?
