Wow. That's interesting. Thanks for the article. I'm surprised they didn't recycle them for scrap metal. That's what we do around here. At just under $10 for 100lbs, that would add up. I don't know what the scrap price is in China, but melting them down would seem better than them sitting around taking up space
...

I know, right? Perhaps it's some kind of public shaming(?). They do that in Japanese culture.
