To this day I have nothing personal against them. They’re not bad people. They just need to fix a couple things.
Before impeachment, I had conversations in private with IG and Pollard several times about my dissatisfaction with the LGBTQ-related modding on this stream, how it violated the compromise they agreed to last term, how it impacts my running-mates especially. They’ll of course try to call it blackmail, but what else am I supposed to do? Say nothing? Now that the Memechat feature exists, I feel it’s always better to try to discreetly address modding issues in private first.
But yeah. If concerns are not addressed, and in this case they weren’t, then going public is the next option. I didn’t want it to come to this, but being quiet when my friends were being silenced and stigmatized through NSFW flags for simply expressing who they are wasn’t an option.
If this were a homophobic stream, then we would have been laughed at and forced to leave. But it’s not. The vast majority of streamers want LGBTQ people to be seen and heard and treated equally. So we’ve learned. So, thank you. 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️
