Playboy is now politically correct?

Ok this just needs to be said as we have a country desperate to virtue signal, but unable to understand what it really means. The meaning of the word progressive has also fallen to pieces.

Let's take a gas station for example. You have diesel, multiple grades of gasoline and E85. If your goal is to maximize sales, then you want as many fuels as possible. But you cannot force a gasoline car driver to put diesel in their tank. The same for E85. There are engineering limitations with the fuel system, engine, control systems, and exhaust that cannot be overcome. So you can provide alternatives, but you MUST draw the line at forcing the consumption of one over the other. Especially if your decision is politically motivated. However, is it really a conflict to add electric car charging stations at your gas station? It's just another fuel as far as your customer is concerned and the infrastructure (light shopping, parking spots, restrooms, power access) already exists. Yet, that is a choice that does not exist. Perhaps its time for gas stations to operate on the Amazon or Walmart model rather than as tight-fisted extensions of oil companies. Give consumers more choice, not artificially fewer ones, and you will make money. Jeff Bezos can vouch for that. And having oil and electricity options at gas stations would be considered progressive as well (not to progressive liberals of course, but we are talking about the expansion of real choices, not alarmist global warming limitations).

As far as Playboy, more than likely this is simply an attempt to drum up media attention for a magazine that essentially will never be able to compete with every open-minded women on the planet who has a webcam and internet access. Yet they could start a new publication that appeals to any demographic they want right? But no, better to hijack existing IP and turn them into political debates. We see this over and over. Yet by artificially limiting our choices, or making changes that are the antithesis of what your core customer base wants, how is that progressive? You have the right to vote with your wallet, so create more choice, not less. Everyone wins.
