Well he's wrong because the government never ordered its shutdown. He voluntarily closed the bank. I think sloth did this to try blaming the RUP for it and try to have something to base his run for office on.

In the real world, central banks are semi-independent — however, they don’t run without a shred of government authority.

That’s what I was seeking in the Bank bill. And Congress voted it down, many of them citing principled philosophical opposition to it.

So be it. If the stream wants an official Bank, then we need a new Congress.

Until then, we have the Black Market. :)
