How is red communist and blue fascist but leftism in America is blue and righties are red?

“Liberal” in most democracies means economically liberal — i.e. what we think of here as conservative.

That is economic liberalism, the philosophy i most agree with. What we call the liberal here in America a lot of the time is social liberalism.

Ahh, blue in England are Conservatives and Red are Liberals/Labour.
