Thanks. I realize PoliticsTOO modding frustrates people sometimes, but the liberals here need a community. Many other streams are more freewheeling, but the community seems to approve our modding style. We’re detailed and transparent about our rules, I look for feedback regularly, and I do privately coach our mods and reverse decisions when they go overboard. Debating is a value — but so is clamping down on over-the-top harassment and things that simply aren’t true. If we modded our stream exactly the way politics stream does, then our stream would eventually be functionally no different from politics. And the PoliticsTOO crowd would leave and go do something else.

It’s a balancing act. But 600+ followers seem to think we are getting it mostly right.
