My sister is on that spectrum (lol I'm ace and shes aro ironic right) and my grandmother gave her a pen she thought was special and said "may you find love, dear" she was so awkward lol
Yeah. I recently learned that I’m aro. The standard for people to have romantic relationships is really toxic.

Yeah it is, I really do want to have a romantic relationship one day it's just going to be harder to find someone that will comply with my sexuality. Society really enforces a hetero family and says its perfect
And even when they’re ok with homo families/couples, they still idealize relationships.

Yeah, there was once a animated movie by a child which was pretty impressive about how much time it took but she was still a child and when putting a romantic relationship in there it was toxic and she didnt know that because she thought it was cool and normal. Years later the creator who was now a young adult made a commentary on her own movie and apologized that she heard that people got into really bad relationships because they also thought it was okay because of the movie. I think it sorta represents society a little bit
Honestly....I wish folk would understand that.
I'm heartless and cold for a different reason. And it's nothing to do with me being aroace and demisexual (other than the bisexual part and non-binary part, you have those as well...)
Seeing as I’m litho (uncomfortable w/ ppl attracted to me) I don’t really mind if someone doesn’t want to date me. But some of it is just using slurs, the ‘two-gender’ thing, and generally implying that queer people are ‘less-than’.
