If N.E.R.D. wins, we’ll reform Congress into “Parliament” along the lines I’ve described here:

Key difference with the current system is that any Party that wins at least 5% of the vote gets to send a representative, and gets total control over who they send. Really makes small parties viable and takes power away from the “ruling” Party. It should lead to less friction overall since everyone will have a say. That’s for the lower chamber (which would become known as the House of Commons).
How would this affect the upper chamber (Senate)? I’ll get with Randomness to see what he has in mind but my feeling is it wouldn’t affect it at all. Senate becomes known as the House of Lords, where membership isn’t determined by elections here but rather by achievement in other streams and interest in participating in PRESIDENTS.
Under a parliamentary system, “President” would be the Prime Minister and would sit as one of the 20 MPs.
Ergo it would be fitting and analogous for the “Vice-President” to be the Head of the House of Lords.
If RandomnessCentral agrees then I think that’s the N.E.R.D. position and it’s totally compatible with this proposal, so I provisionally vote aye.*
*Again expressing no opinions as to whether Senate currently exists or whether I’m a Senator. :)
