Vaccines don’t make you immune from getting a disease. It prevents severe cases, by training your immune system to fight a certain disease. It knows what to do if you get a certain disease, meaning that disease doesn’t have the time to inflict enough damage to cause the more severe side effects. You can still get covid if you’ve gotten the vaccine, it just prevents death and hospitalization’s.
