To clarify and to be accurate, this is an old photo of Justin from a number of years ago and not from September 30th, 2021, but the point is Justin chose to go surfing in Tofino, BC during Canada's newly-created National Day of Truth and Reconciliation to commemorate the abuse and loss of Aboriginal children due to decades of the residential school system where Aboriginal children were taken from their families and sent to those schools "to take the Indian out of them" as originally stated back in the day.
These children suffered from horrible mental, physical, and sexual abuse (not to mention child deaths due to disease, running away, etc.) thanks to the incompetent Catholic clergy running the schools at the time; the ramifications of which still resonate today within the Aboriginal community.
