i have this same problem where i wan't to look androgynous
i have curtain bangs so i'll tie my hair back in a bun and leave my bangs hanging so that it looks like i have short hair
mostly i wear a mix of masculine and feminine clothes, like a flannel and jeans like a more fem top or something, and makeup
i don't know if sharing my experience will help; but i hop it does ^^
