Corporations cannot pass laws. They can coerce politicians to make laws that benefits the corporations but no politician is obligated to pass any of those laws.
Corporations, who petition the government, are at the mercy of the government.
Early on in this nation no politician would ever sell out to any business or corporation. That lasted until the late 1800's. Now there are types of businesses that if you do not have a team of lobbyists in Washington DC then your business will fail. Your competition will just get legislation passed to put you out of business.
This is why it is imperative that we only vote for and election honest people with high morals and integrity. If the person in your party does not show any sign of honesty then vote for someone from another party. If no one shows any signs of honesty then do not vote to fill that position.
I wouldn't like it but I would rather have an honest Democrat (Tulsi Gabbards) than a dishonest conservative (most of them).
