It's worse. COVID kills something of, *rounding up,* (key point) 1% of its victims. That means that, within that five percent, the vaccine/pre-existing conditions (combined or no) kill more than four percent.

It means that the odds of dying from the virus while vaccinated are less than five percent. Because your body has been augmented by Beskar (vaccine) while a swarm/invasion force (stormtroopers/COVID) has no chance against you.

However, choosing to not to social distance/mask/vaccinate means you're going to fight storm troopers with a butter knife in your underwear while yelling at your fellow soldiers that armor and heavy blasters are fake news, that you're a Jedi... with a butterknife.
[deleted]

Your analogy. The majority of troopers we see in the movies are the 501st.

Just because I broke your analogy doesn't mean you have to move the goalposts.

Now listen here bud, I'm growing impatient with your spouting misinformation here. You've been proven incorrect time and time again, you've also cited links that contradict your own arguments which means you don't read anything that comes your way. You read just enough to get what you want to hear without taking time to understand it; i.e. confirmation bias.

Check that shit at the door, actually go and read some shit about what you're talking about, or gtfo this stream.

You've been warned.

So you're threatening to use mod power?
And in terms of Star Wars, the 501st certainly lost its capabilitiy pretty quickly if the majority of units are 501st.

No, as the final word, I am the moderator and it is my job to moderate what is misinformation and what isn't. You have not offered any proof or evidence to support your claim. Thus, not giving it the chance to be factual information. If there is no evidence to the claim, coupled with hard evidence to contradict the substance of your claim, yours is misinformation. You're not entitled to spread bullshit here.

The south did not leave to preserve slavery, although that was a bonus to the confederacy.

Actually per the southern casus belli:

MISSISSIPPI

"A Declaration of the Immediate Causes which Induce and Justify the Secession of the State of Mississippi from the Federal Union.

In the momentous step which our State has taken of dissolving its connection with the government of which we so long formed a part, it is but just that we should declare the prominent reasons which have induced our course.

Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the earth..."

North Carolina seceded from the Union because the North were harboring "fugitives." Or, slave escapees.

But here's the casus belli in its entirety:

Actually, this would be more accurate if I were to say, um, breast cancer. They got breast cancer because they didn't wear sunscreen, and, because of that, I can shame them beyond the grave.
Rather obviously, that would be wrong of me to do. Beyond that, sunscreen doesn't stop breast cancer, so what right would I have to even make that correlation?

trump didn't invent the vax, he did no reesurch on it. he promoted bleach.

trump DID quickly FUND research and prizes for companies TO invent the vax.

sars vaccines aren't new by the way, they've been studied and created for about 10 years now. that's why this one was so easy to do so quickly.
[deleted]

So why was there such a push to make the vaccine? It was like we would all die if the scientists out there went and got some sleep.

the death rate for vaxxed IS way down. it's only 5% compared to 95% being unvaxxed.

What's best about this is that for vaccines under Trump, these statistics almost don't exist. It's almost like nobody wanted to attribute their medical messiah to their worst enemy.

is the annual flu shot rushed? should they do 5 years of testing first? so it will be 5 years old each year? LOL
[deleted]
1 up, 3y
The annual flu shot is the same as the previous ones, with minor improvements over time. And we are both aware that the variety of flu shot to distribute is guesswork. For the first 5 years, sure it was rushed. Not anymore.

They're the ones who fear the disease, and shy away from people, unless they also have the vaccine.

stats are consistent. 95% of all covid deaths are unvaxxed. and it's only going to get better. eventually 99% of deaths will be unvaxxed. or worse, depending on who's political party loses voters.

If I may, it's 97% of all Covid related death are unvacinated.

COVID isn't just a SARS. It's in the same family as the common cold.
The common cold is not cured, nore does it have a vaccine.

the vax didn't get rolled out to many people while trump was in office. it's a production issue not a conspiracy theory. he should be proud, he took the vax after all.

the 5% death rate for vaccinated people is NOT spiking. what's spiking is the cases which translates into higher hospitalizations and deaths - thanks to antivaxxers.
[deleted]
1 up, 3y
As more vaccines roll out, the overall death rate should go down, assuming that vaccines are functional. Funny. The death rate isn't going down. Not by any noticeable margin, at least.

stats are around. you're just choosing not to look. or you prefer right wing or libertarian quack stats.
[deleted]
1 up, 3y
Statistics are skewed on both ends. Liberals are overly lenient on saying that deaths were caused by the disease. Conservatives are overly reliant on saying the numbers have been inflated. both statements are true because of each other, but likely not to the extent that they have been depicted.
[deleted]
2 ups, 3y
the other reason for spiking cases is more indoor activity, relaxed lock downs, fewer masks and 30% of the country not yet vaxxed because they think it's dangerous or "not sure" or "waiting for more evidence" to take it.

"They're the ones who fear the disease, and shy away from people, unless they also have the vaccine."

So, they're doing what they're supposed to in an attempt to stop the virus from spreading further, trying to get us out of lockdown.... While the others who aren't afraid, are mad that the country keeps going on lockdown and can't guess why...

Hmmm. Interesting.

Instead of just outright laughing at this inane babble. I'll let you put the proof to the pudding.

In what way, other than being a respiratory virus, is this virus in the same family as the common cold?

Same logic:
"Fear is never the way. If I can go into shark waters while bleeding, and they already ate, I won't get bitten. Because all the sharks already ate."

In both instances, you're playing a numbers game. When you gamble, you eventually lose.

Wrong. Look up photos of Coronavirus and Rhinovirus (the cold). Very different species of cold that have very different symptoms, that behave in very different manners. Get an education, Jesus Christ.

Given what you believe, I'm not surprised this is what you heard.

Third party information which is anecdotal information and you don't even know the name of the test.

"Do you have an agitated respiratory system?"
"Yes it's the co-."
"Coronavirus."

Pretty vague test. Gotta know the test to know what you're talking about. Otherwise, you're saying "I know a guy who knows a guy." And no one here will ever, ever take you seriously.

"so question, then
why does the cold come up as COVID positive on COVID tests?"

Not sure, haven't heard of this happening. First I've heard of it.
Doesn't change the fact that the CoronaVIRUS and the rhinoVIRUS are two entirely separate species of virus.

You're essentially looking at mammals and saying: "A horse is the same as a cow, they're both mammals, and they both behave like herd animals."

Seriously
1 up, 3y
It's anecdotal evidence, but no, a cold does not give you a positive Covid test. My son had a cold, and we had to get tested. Negative for Covid because it wan't Covid. GuyForSomeReason is just quoting "alternative facts".
