the mother finally smiles as well

“Well, i suppose i can’t go against the word of a preist.”

“I asked if you wanted me to play it for you to prove i don’t summon demons with it.”

the priest pauses for a moment, then replies: sure.

the preist looks at her with slight repulsion, still sure she's summoning some kind of demon

a thought- just a thought comes to mind- what if she's summoning god instead?

he stands up and somewhat hurriedly leaves the house, ready to spread some good ol' gossip

Michiko goes about her daily tasks in the village

-next day-

she gets another knock on the door

She opens it- “yes?”

Priest: AND MAYBE SOMEDAY EVEN THE KING WOULD JOIN US IN PRAYER!!

Michiko straightens up and walks outside, pretending to be oblivious-
“What’s all the racket-?” -yawn-

Girl: mommy can I go compliment her?
The mom sighs and looks around: ugh... fine but don't let anyone see you-
The girl didn't give a f**k about what the mom was saying and skipped right over to Michiko: hi!

Her mom comes up and takes the little girl's hand: that's enough Lisa-

Michiko: “oh please, she’s a lovely child- keep being quite so strict and she might not be.” She glares at the girl’s mother before patting the girl on the head- “keep dreaming, kiddo.” Michiko walks off

The mother scoffs and continues leading Liza to where they were going

She sits down in her lowly cottage, having once again been slapped on the ass by her neighbor. She didn’t know how much more of this she could take.

At least the village was cozy

Indeed. She lays down on her bed and falls asleep, To be whisked away to her happy place. . .

the mother would bow, and take the skipping girl down the street back to the Manor where they belonged.

Michiko would take the basket inside and shut the door behind her, sighing

nobody else would knock that day.

she'd hear a crowd cheering from outside

She quickly straightens her hair and peaks out the window

she sees lots of people filling up the street, waving around candles and now singing hymns

“. . .” She shuts her curtains

the crowd would continue.

Michiko ignores them and tries to fall asleep, but finds she cannot

the noise continues. as one of the songs come up, she'd hear a new one, with her name replacing the name of a saint

Michiko puts her pillow over her ear- sure, she didn’t want to be thought of as a witch but this was to much

the priest's deep voice would ring, singing the song as well

Michiko stays in her house, thinking about how ridiculous people can be

after a few moments of silence a booming loud voice of the same priest would shatter the silence

Michiko crosses her fingers they won’t make her present in front of the king or something- she’d rather take a nap.

Liza: yea, or at least that’s what they taught us

“Right. You’re a wonderful girl, Liza. I’m so happy i got to see you again.”

Liza: me too!
Mother: we’ve brought you a pie-
She brings a basket closer to Michiko

“How sweet of you.”

Liza: yea! It took us a lot of time and our father got a bit mad but!-
The mother cuts her off: we really do enjoy giving people presents when we can
She places her hand on Liza’s shoulder, calming both of them down

Michiko can tell it’s a sensitive issue, so she says nothing on the subject-

The mother: it’s our honor
She smiles while heartedly again

“Well then- is there anything else?”

the mother: no, that would be it.

It’s a quaint little home, nothing to noticeable other than a beautiful, glossy, clay Ocarina on her bedside table

priest, mumbling under his breath: or perhaps to summon the devil-

“Don’t be stupid. It’s clearly just an instrument. Would you like me to play it for you?”

he exhales and sits down as she walks out. the people murmur in hushed tones.

Michiko tries to listen

Michiko sighs and ceases her tune- she was beginning to question if she really was a witch, with the pointed ears and all.

The melody would ring in her ears

Michiko finds herself on the sandy beach of Koholint, and goes so visit her (deceased) mother and father

The breeze would wave the tree's leaves from side to side, as if they are waving to her

Marin: “michi! I missed you.” Her mother hugs her

Her arms radiate warmth of a mother’s love as well has her arms

-and so Michiko enjoys the dream, until she must wake up. . .-

-a few hours later-

She hears loud knocking on the door

Michiko wakes up with a jolt- she smooths out her hair and answers the door

A priest is there- the same one as before: hello there, miss’

“Hello.”

He closes the door and turns to her: what did you see?

“Angel wings- but i mean, i always see an island in my dreams and is that considered witch craft? I really would not like to be hung at the gallows- irrelevant. I saw wings.”

he stops himself from using profanity

She shrugs- “i have been told i have an angelic aura.”

Pope: well-
he sighs

“. . .” Michiko stays silent

Pope: you shall tell no one of this!

“Alright.”

Pope: all your sins have been forgiven- ect ect and- now please leave!

“. . . Alright.” She seems suspicious of him, yet exits anyway to return to her little village

Michiko ties her vermillion hair back into it’s iconic ponytail and takes a deep breath before approaching the church

The church looms over her with its broad, clean, white walls.
Inside, some people are praying, and the pope is sitting, rereading the bible

A young girl, around 16, with brightly colored hair and shimmering blue eyes walks in

The pope looks back, hearing the doors creack open: why hello there

“. . . Am i dreaming?” She gazes at his wings

Pope: huh? What do you mean?

Michiko points to his wings

He looks back at them. He yelps. The rest of the people look at him as if he's crazy, they don't seem to notice the wings.
He stands up, takes Michiko by the arm and drags her to one of the cubicle thingies
