None of these are from in stream, care to explain?

1. They’re not candidates, so they’re not protected by this rule.

2. They’re not personal attacks at all, but reports.

I’ve been appointed Secretary of Homeland Security/National Security Advisor by the current government and I take that to mean reporting on and raising awareness of Imgflip threats.

If one of those accounts found this stream and ran for office, heaven forbid, they’d be protected by this stream’s rules. More likely, these accounts will be nuked before that ever happens. And if you check those links out, they have been, with only one exception.

1) Uhhhh, I don't recall the rule applying just to candidates. Oh, and you're not a candidate, it's not election season.

The rule applies to every stream user, IMO, but it *certainly* applies to candidates, since they’re the most likely targets of mudslinging. If the rule doesn’t protect candidates at the very least, then the rule has no meaning. There’s no “Campaign season” limitation in that rule. Note, however, at this early point I have been nominated President of the N.E.R.D. Party. Indeed I was the founder.

Blowing apart the mudslinging rule would encourage memers to spend 25 hours a day on opposition research combing through their opponents’ Imgflip profiles for memes and comments to take out of context. A recipe for disastrous, confusing, and off-topic campaigning.

I could certainly comb through Andrew’s profile and do the same, but I won’t, because I understand this rule and support it’s logic. I don’t even need to frankly as he’s been rude enough here regardless. :)

All stream users *do* get protection, IMO. The rule as phrased does seem to be more about candidates (using words like opponent, policies, etc.) — which is why I used the word candidate — but anyone on the stream can decide to become a candidate, so I think all streamers should be protected.

I don’t think Nazi trolls from the depths of Imgflip who terrorize the politics stream primarily should be — but I’ve sought guidance from the government that appointed me on that point.

Oh, and I think you like to gloss over that final line on the image. Ultimately, it's up to the discretion of the stream owner. So, 1) If you haven't brought your concerns to him directly, you don't really have room to complain, and 2) You should respect the decision he makes. This stream is to have fun, and sometimes things might get a little heated. If we strictly adhered to every minutia of every rule, we'd be sitting here all day deleting stuff. If you have a problem with a site mod who you think is abusing their site mod power, that really has nothing to do with the stream; we literally can't do anything (unless someone hasn't told me that Envoy and I are actually presiding over the site mods)
