Vodena tries to attack, to get this to stop, but is being held back

She nods, shutting her eyes and bracing for the sound of something being sliced-

As much hope as she had for his revival, Vodena had no interest in watching that

Vodena uses oasis magic to teleport herself to the river Styx to wait.

Daxos's voice comes from behind her "normally, I wouldve revived from the styx. however, Reginald but a lock on my remains, and more importantly, my soul"

“Oh- oh dear- what must i do to bring you back, then?”

"you dont-" she feels a hand on her shoulder "-I came back on my own. Reginald isnt the only one with safe guards"

“Ah- thank goodness-“ she hugs him

he hugs back "and now that bastards gotta go . . ."

“I must agree. We can’t have you getting executed again.”

"yeah-he dosnt actually know Im here. he wants me gone for good"

“Should we play it from the shadows then? Pull somewhat of a sneak attack.”

“That makes sense. And- no, nevermind. We should be focused for this.”

Vodena couldn’t help but feel guilty about not telling him- but it was best to ensure he stayed alive first before that news was out.

he takes her back to the palace

She sighs, tired, and frankly still covered in blood

"uh-you should take a shower"

“Good idea.” She goes to do that

he sits in his war room, waiting for her

She sings ‘crybaby’ by Melanie Martinez while in the shower

he hums '3'oclock things' by AJR

She eventually gets out of the shower

a wraith with a purple aura walks into the room and speaks with a western drawl "you called?"

Daxos: "Galrel! took you long enough you undead bastard"

Vodena: -embarrassed in knows none of his friends-

"right-Vodena, this bounty hunter used to be one of Reginalds best, which youd know if we did 'the ballad of Galrel Dodobos'" he gives her a look "that was until he went into the depths of The Guildhall and became . . . well-you see him"

“Ah- i see. Vodena Carolija. A pleasure to meet you.”

Galrel tips his hat "you too"

“So-“ she turns to Daxos, “he’s going to help us?”

Daxos: "absolutely he will-"

“Good.”

Galrel: "he wont suspect a thing"

“Splendid.” She floats and hugs onto Daxos’ arm as usual

Daxos: -smile- "go on tomorrow"

Galrel walks off
Daxos: "and thats over with-"

-nods- “i suppose so.”

"alright-movie, dinner, what should we do?"

“I’m tired.” -.-;;

It was only around 7pm. . .

"hmm . .. well thats understandable, youve had a long day . . . but I want the truth. are you ok? and dont lie to me"

“I’m ok, really. Just worried about something.”

"what is it?"

“I- really shouldn’t tell you. We have too many other things at stake right now, and i don’t want you treating me like I’m helpless out of anxiety-“

" . . . fine. I respect your privacy . . . but Im afraid Im going to worry anyway"

“It’s better for you to worry about that than be fussing over me.”

-yawn- “now I’m going to go to bed.”

She teleports to her little pond/shrine in the basement of the castle where she always sleeps to recharge her powers

-sigh- "goodnight . . ." he goes up to his bed, alone, tired and worried

She sleeps floating gently, whispering words in a cryptic language

he rest a hand on the empty place where Vodena would be, and sighs

The whispering gets louder as the magic increases, and Daxos can faintly hear it- some sort of minor effect life extension charm.

-frown- "the hell is she doing down there-" he gets out of bed

-the whispering continues-

he goes down to her

She’s floating on her back above her glowing mini oasis, keeping her hands gently over her abdomen while whispering the charm

" . . . what are you doing?"

She suddenly stops, being very startled, and falls onto the surface of the water-

“A charm of sorts. Why?”

"I didnt realize charms were sitting in the air, hands on your belly and talking so loudly I can hear it from our-my bedroom"

“It’s a special charm. . . I apologize for waking you up.”

"its alright . . . Ill go back upstairs"

-nod- "I agree"

She takes a deep breath- “. . . I’m pregnant.”

"alright . .. Im gonna go backstairs and go to sleep, and you should too-"

She slowly blinks her eyes open, still being rather tired but having been awakened by the smell of food

"well hello love-" -smile- "-come on down here, eat with me"

“O-ok.” She stumbles over, still exhausted having spent most of her night on that charm in hopes she wouldn’t miscarry again

he holds her close and gently strokes her hair "I love you Vodena . . . from that first day at that oasis to this moment . . ."

“I love you too. . .”
