I'm not in favor of making guns or abortions illegal.

A gun and an abortion aren't the same.

By your own definition, they both serve the purpose of killing people, and many innocent people are killed by guns, living, breathing, walking people, people with kids and jobs and social security numbers, people who contribute to society and whose deaths make a much larger impact on those around them.

No they aren't, but criminals are. People will break the law and do things themselves through un-safe means. I would rather the mother do it with professional help so that she doesn't risk her own life as well.

Just as I don't like people owning guns, but I also recognize that people need to assess their own risk for their own neighborhoods as not all neighborhoods are the same. So, some people need guns. I don't like it, but I'd rather people be safe and do it legally than not.

Here’s a bright idea: If you don’t plan on having kids, you don’t need to have sex! And if you do, contraceptives are widely available. There, now you’ll never have to worry about if abortion is legal or not.

Because abortion is a right that women have, not men, even though men can use contraception or abstain just as easily as women.

Except some of the same anti choice voters would ban contraceptives as well
