Typically I don't do POVs, but I felt this would be the best way to introduce Cammie.

Harper: “yo! Need any help?”

Cammie: "Yeah..."

*Novos barks and runs at Harper, dragging Cammie with him.*

She snaps her fingers, and suddenly the dog has the overwhelming urge to stop and sit down

*Novos stops and sits down.*

Cammie: "...what the..."

“I’ve been told I’m good with dogs.”

Cammie: "Yeah... very impressive."

“Thanks.”

*Novos yips at Harper.*

She glares at him, her sunglasses reflecting the sun

*Novos whimpers.*

“There. Good boy.” She gives him some pets before turning to Cammie- “if you ever need help with your dog, just call me.”

*Cammie lays down and waits for night.*

Cammie: "I dunno. I've never been good at deciding times to do things."

“Well, I’m free today if you wanna go now.”

Cammie: "Sure! Now is fine."

“Great. One sec.” she opens her front door and yells into the house-

Harper: “HEY MOM, CAN I BRING BEC OUT?”

Jade: “JUST MAKE SURE YOU DON’T LOSE HIM!”

Harper: “THANKS!”

*Novos' ears fold down at the yelling. He whimpers.*

She shuts the door behind her and sticks two fingers in her mouth, whistling loudly-

A huge white wolf with a radioactive green glow bounds out from her backyard and sits obediently, yet still majestically, next to her

“This is Becquerel.”

*Novos stares at Becquerel.*

Cammie: "Wow. He's bigger than Novos, and that's saying something."

“I’ve ridden him into battle before. But that’s irrelevant.” She snaps her fingers and a collar appears around Bec’s neck. He then hands the handle of the leash to Harper with his mouth.

Cammie: "He's very well trained."

*Novos steps towards Bec. He yips.*

Harper: “Ah, he only listens to me.”

Becquerel: -stares at Novos with a blank expression-

*The man is silent. He aims the gun at Becquerel.*

Bec snarls

“I asked you a f**king question.” The vine grows longer

???: "Agent Morgan, S.E.C.R.E.T."

*The man fires. Novos moves in front of Bec and is hit by a tranquilizer dart.*

Bec, shocked- kneels down?

Harper climbs onto his back.
“Last chance- tell me why you’re here.”

Agent Morgan: "Both of you are in possession of supernatural entities, and it's my job to collect them and return them to headquarters."

*Cammie tries to pick up Novos, who is unconscious, but he's way too heavy.*

“HA! Please, bitch-“ her eyes glow brighter and two vines from her arm grip tightly around Morgan’s neck- “i AM a supernatural entity.”

*Agent Morgan wildly fires the tranquilizer gun. It hits Cammie in the arm.*

Cammie: "Ouch-"

A vine quickly pulls the dark out- Harper and Becquerel fight to their best ability- but Morgan calls backup just as they take her out

*The S.E.C.R.E.T. backup consists of an entire armed squadron. And a tank. From reading the side of the tank you learn that S.E.C.R.E.T. stands for Supernatural Entity Collection, Research, and Experimentation Team.*

*The four of you are taken into custody and eventually locked up in a secure facility. Novos and Becquerel are put in a large pen resembling the forest, and Harper and Cammie are put in a decent-sized two person cell.*

Harper is bleeding- even some of the thorns on her own vines had cut her.

“Well-“ -huff- “w-we put up a good fight. . .”

Cammie: "...first off, we need a way to get out of the cell without alerting the guards."

*Novos blushes and nuzzles Becquerel. His tail wags rapidly.*

*bec ends up falling asleep*

“Or we could come up with a battle strategy- but no, that should be plan B if a stealth mission fails.”

*Novos falls asleep as well.*

Cammie: "...the vents are too small to fit through... and I don't know if we can get into the sewers."

“Hmm- i have an idea- but it’s risky.”

Cammie: "What is it?"

“I could make a path underground lined with roots.”

Cammie: "...that might work."

“Mhm.”

Cammie: "...let's wait until the lights in the hall go out before we try. Then hopefully the guards will be asleep."

“Good idea.”

Cammie: "That makes sense."

*Novos sniffs Becquerel.*

Bec nudges him away with his Paw

*Novos moves away but doesn't seem happy about it.*

“C’mon bec, play nice. . .”

Bec offers Novos a small sniff on the head

*Novos' tail wags.*

Cammie: "I've never seen Novos act like this around a dog."

“I’d argue that bec is more of a wolf.”

Cammie: "...so is Novos, honestly. Maybe that's why."

*Novos paces around Bec.*

Bec seems mildly irritated, but Harper’s presence appears to calm him

Cammie: "Novos, stop making Bec annoyed."

*Novos whines and sits down next to Cammie. He eyes Bec oddly.*

Harper: “so- where to?”

Cammie: "Okay. I'm Cammie, by the way."

“Harper Strider.”

Cammie: "Nice to meet you. I'm your new neighbor, by the way. Moved in a few days ago."

“Nice to meet you.”

Cammie: "We should hang out some time."

*Novos yips. He seems excited by this idea.*

“Sure. I have my own dog, too, ya know.”

Cammie: "Oh, really?"

*Novos stares at Harper curiously.*

“Yeah- but i dunno if my mom’ll let me bring him out.”

Cammie: "Hopefully she will. Novos seems very excited about the idea of meeting him."

“Aight- so when should we hang out?”

Cammie: "I don't know anywhere to go. I'm new in town, remember?"

“Ah, right. Well, i think there’s a dog park not to far from here.’’

Cammie: "Okay. Lead the way, please."

She takes bec by his leash and starts walking

*Cammie follows with Novos. Novos tries to move towards Bec but Cammie pulls him back.*

Bec licks Novos’ ear

*Novos yips in surprise and his fur reddens slightly. Cammie laughs.*

(Nooooooo- there will NOT be a romance arc between them, NO WAY)

Harper chuckles as well

Cammie: "Novos, no being gay for my neighbor's dog."

*Novos whines.*

Both Harper and Becquerel give her a STRONG glare

Cammie: "I-"

*Novos snickers.*

-continues to draw-

*Novos stares at Becquerel. He seems to be smiling.*

Bec does not smile.

*Novos stops smiling and just stares.*

Becquerel never really has an expression, but he lick’s Novos’ ear again.

This has come to be a clear sin of affection.

*Novos' tail wags again. He puts his paw on Becquerel, which is seemingly his way of showing affection.*

Becquerel: -nuzzle-

*Novos nuzzles Becquerel back. It's strangely adorable.*

???: “OI! STRIDER! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE I TOLD YOU TO GET YOUR RADIOACTIVE WOLF F*G OUTTA MY PARK!”

*Cammie finds a first aid kit in the cell and starts tending to Harper's wounds.*

Cammie: "You did good... but SECRET is basically unstoppable... I've had to keep moving from place to place just to keep Novos safe from them..."

“W-we have to stop them. . .”

Becquerel, who unbeknownst to Cammie so far can teleport, is suddenly in the cell with them

Cammie: "AHH!"

*Cammie, shocked, falls backwards.*

Bec lick’s Harper’s face

“Hey there, buddy.” She pets him as he lays down next to her

Cammie: "...wait, if Becquerel is here, does that mean Novos is all alone?"

Bec teleports back and gets Novos

*Novos seems very confused by what just happened. He whimpers.*

Becquerel nuzzles him to let him know it’s alright

*Novos seems to calm down. He paws Becquerel.*

Cammie: "...so how are we gonna get out of here?"

“We need to plan that out.”

-Becquerel snuggles Novos-

*Cammie walks behind the dogs. Novos walks next to Becquerel.*

Becquerel keeps watch to make sure nothing is trying to hurt Novos

*Novos looks around nervously. A strange government-looking man stands on a street corner, watching him.*

Bec notices this and growls at him

*The man stares at Bec. He pulls out his phone and calls someone.*

Cammie: "...we need to get home fast..."

“. . . I could also get Bec to tear him apart.”

Cammie: "...true, but what if there are others watching? They might see us and call in backup."

“I can take em. Hey, did you know I’m technically dead?”

Cammie: "...no?"

*Novos snarls at the man. The man pulls out a tranquilizer gun.*

“Yep- it’s called Godtier. Harper Strider, Seer of Life.” She puts her sunglasses over her head and her green eyes glow- a vine appears on her arm-

“Who are you?”

*Novos paws Becquerel. He yips.*

-a second affectionate lick of the ear-

*Novos' tail wags.*

Bec lays down next to him

*Novos seems content.*

Cammie: "...Hmm."

Harper is already pestering her friends via her phone

*Cammie nudges Harper and nods at Novos and Bec.*

-Sk8terScurge ceased pestering SassafrassSister-

“Hey, i was texting my girlfriend-

Cammie: "But just look at them!"

“No.”

-Sk8terScurge began pestering SassafrasSister-

Cammie: "...oh no."

*Novos stands up. He snarls.*

Harper: “Gloria. . .”

Gloria: “YOU HEARD ME!”

*Novos howls. A small meteorite crashes to the ground next to Gloria.*

Cammie: "...hm. Maybe it wasn't a coincidence that I found Novos near a fallen star."

Harper: “now’s not the time for bragging about terribly concealed oc origins.”she stands up, and so Does Becquerel.
“I’m finally taking you down, Gloria.”

*Cammie stays back.*

*Novos snarls again.*

At a snap of Harper’s fingers, Becquerel howls and starts tearing Gloria to shreds

*Cammie gags and looks away. Novos barks, seemingly cheering Becquerel on.*

Her remains along with the blood then suddenly disappear

Harper: “alright- should we go home now?”

*Cammie nods.*

-they start walking back-

Cammie: "What?"

*Novos snickers.*

Harper: “. . .sorry, i think Bec is aro.” She continues walking

Cammie: "..."

*Novos resumes walking, but he now trails behind Cammie.*

They get to the dog park

*Cammie looks around. She takes off Novos' leash.*

Cammie: "This place is nice."

*Novos lays down near the corner of the fence.*

Bec stays by Harper for a bit until she tries to encourage him and Novos to play together and

*Novos silently paws the ground.*

Cammie: "...sorry about Novos. He's rather dramatic."

Harper: “it’s alright.”

Becquerel: “. . .” -hesitantly licks his ear again-

*Novos looks at Becquerel.*

He does nothing, but lays down next to Novos
