The first objective of the Afghan war was to seek revenge on the Al qaeda for 9/11, second to deny control of Afghanistan to the Taliban because we’re allies with Afghanistan. We completed the first, but not the second.

Let's leave them there the next 100 years why don't we? Afghanistan doesn't want us there, they want Taliban rule, that's why they capitulated so fast. Not to say EVERYONE there wants to be under the Taliban, but compare them to Poland in 1939. Who was facing 2 of the world's strongest militaries and who was facing a group of (supposedly) 70,000. Who capitulated quicker? And we'll have yet to see in Afghanistan, but which one had a resistance during occupation?
They had 20 years to get ready, they didn't have the will to fight because they don't want our system.

They don't want us there, so unless you want to make Afghanistan a permanent colony of the US, getting out was the right call

The Afghanistan army didn't even have the will to fight. It's not assistance, we were imposing ourselves on them. If they didn't want to be under Taliban rule, the Afghanistan military, that had 20 years to get ready, and outnumbered the Taliban 4 to 1, would have been able to defend the country.

Here’s the difference between invading Afghanistan and invading a multi alliance country. First, the army isn’t equipped with newest weapons. Second, China isn’t a terrorist group. Third, afghan isn’t a war for conquering, it’s a war to make sure we don’t get a dirty bomb in the nuclear factory or a second 9/11

And there wasn't anything before stopping one of them from doing that. We can't tell most terrorists just from looks if they're choosing to blend in. Travel bans are a thing too, you don't have to do any guesswork then.

Because they chose not to fight

1. Tell the Taliban and Amy terrorist groups they may harbor that we'll go back in and destroy them if they take over the government or kill anyone

2. Send a message to all of our allies and citizens to leave if they are still worried about a Taliban takeover

3. Ship out our military equipment, may take a few weeks to a month or two.

Well, said what's-his-face supposedly even ignored his own advisers when he made a certain decision.

Really, the US is putting itself in another position to be attacked. Especially with the amount of resources we left during the retreat.

Get any civilians and US allies out first, then withdraw to Kabul with a strong defense. Get most of the troops and equipment out, except for what's needed to defend the city while everyone and everything else is evacuated. And finally, have numerous planes ready to take out the city defense quickly.

Hopefully I would have the foresight not to trust a military that clearly doesn't want to fight.
