I hate how everyone is fixated on the Pokeshipping in this pic. I have no strong opinions about who Ash ends up with one way or the other. I just wanted to show a pic of him with a wife and kids. I think this is how Pokemon Journeys should wrap up. We can debate who Ash ends up bearing children with.
But what do you think about the overall layout of this way of wrapping up Ash's story?
I think Serena should meet Ash again a year after the series takes place, and about 2 months later Ash finally understands Serena likes him and does too. Years later, the end up together. I also kinda ship Brock and Nurse Joy ngl.
My vision for the future of the Pokemon Anime; A story arc where Ash, Goh, and maybe some other characters like Misty and Brock storm Team Rocket headquarters and dismantle the organization once and for all, like in the original Red, Blue, and Yellow games. Ash beats Leon and becomes World Monarch (essentially World Champion). Jessie, James, and Meowth, realizing they're out of a job because of (2) above, decide to open a Mom and Pop shop, employing their entrepreneurial skills they've displayed through the course of the series. That's the end of Ash's journey. The Generation 9 anime starts with Ash's son in the future, getting his starter Pokemon from Professor Oak; Professor GARY Oak. Samuel Oak retired and Gary took over in his grandfather's place. The anime series from then on has a Boruto feel to it. Ash is still in the anime, but as the father of the new protagonist.
