Biden outlaws face-to-face meming; Late Wednesday evening, President Biden issued an Executive
Order mandating that all US meming sites use only online modes
of meme and comment submission. White House Press Secretary
Jen Psaki explained that the order comes in response to certain
sites allowing face-to-face meming, presumably in an effort to
spread the Covid-19 virus and increase national case and death
counts. "The gloves are off", Psaki said, "and the era of malarkeyship is
over. We're going to do whatever it takes to win this fight.
Cases of mandate violation will be referred to federal judges
with a strong record of respect for the well-being of the nation.
Those convicted will face a stiff prison sentence and possibly
other penalties."; Conservative memers are expected to be hardest hit by the
order as they tend to defy mandates regardless of penalties.
A regular memer on imgflip.com (who asked not to be named)
predicted that the order would not sit well with at least one
stream of memers. "I think they'll laugh it off until the first
convictions are handed down. Some of them will certainly rant
about it and some may stop submitting online. But I think it's a
step in the right direction to help control the virus."
