Are you really going to defend the Bush's in spite of their support of the perpetual global war machine? Remember the several hundred thousand Iraqi civilians that died in our search for non existent weapons of mass destruction under Bush, while the fourth Branch of the government (media) never questioned the narrative and in fact drove the "facts" home?
The point is...NO career politician on either side is a friend of the people.
