"Chain of Fools" was a 1967 single that also appears on the 1968 album "Lady Soul". It hit #1 on the U.S. R&B Chart and peaked at #2 on the Billboard Hot 100. It won the GRAMMY for Best Female Vocal R&B Performance in 1968, Aretha's third GRAMMY win. (Her first two were for "Respect" in 1967.)
