Given polio is a guaranteed death-or-ruined life disease I don't think there's any real argument to be made against vaccinating for it.

There was though. In fact, the creator of the Polio vaccine was given a great deal of crap over the creation process of it. And, much like Covid, the vaccine was considered controversial. Not microchips or autism, but called poison instead.

OK and? Science demonstrates it to be safe over any period of time.
