When someone flags a comment, it is made available to the Stream Mods of that stream, as well as Community and Global Mods for all comment flags sitewide. Community and Global Mods can perform these moderations because some Stream Mods either aren’t able to or don’t take the proper action required to remove content that violates TOS. Sitewide Mods aren’t really aware of what rules each stream has, so we can’t really make a determination whether a comment violates stream rules or not unless it’s a stream we moderate. Currently the best thing you can do to prevent Sitewide Mods from making a bad call regarding stream rules is to be very proactive in running your stream. Streams like MSMG and EAM are very good at this due to the number of active mods they have, I rarely ever have to act on a comment flag from either stream, despite plenty of comment flags being issued on both streams.

Is there a way for the upper moderators to not ignore comment flags if they don’t break ToS? I try to be as proactive about modding my streams as possible but I can’t check comment flags constantly. Is there a set amount of time before an upper mod does a comment?
(Upper mods being purple and green Ms)

The short answer is that it varies; personally I typically check comment flags a minimum of twice a day. I wonder if a system for community streams wherein a flag remains in your queue even if disapproved by a Global or Community mod would be helpful. Of course, you can still manually remove a comment even if a flag has been resolved--though I recognize it may be more difficult to locate.

It would be incredibly helpful, I try to he as proactive as possible when modding my streams but with school starting it will be difficult

I thought by inappropriate you meant nsfw

Well on my streams nsfw is only allowed on nsfw images, for obvious reasons. The only stream I don’t allow nsfw on is my Gacha stream because people have a problem with nsfw Gacha. Often the comment flags ignored are spam or people harassing users on my stream

ah
well in that case yeah you're right

I understand that the higher up mods probably don’t realize they are ignoring legitimate comment flags, since they can’t understand every community. However it gets in the way of modding my own streams

For example this was ignored by a global mod, even though it is spam and nsfw on an image that isn’t nsfw. It is breaking the rules of stream imgflip.com/i/5jg2r3#com13628227

yeah that should have been disapproved

I would have disapproved it with a comment timer, but I never saw it.

What is that? A rap? XD Those are baby words!

I don’t know, but it should have been deleted with a comment timer but a global mod ignored the comment flags and therefore I didn’t see it
