Well, because this stream was actually under attack by WN alts — sometimes two per day. For months. It was a big issue, as you know. Sometimes accusations were made that later turned out not to be true. More often, not. Many of us got pretty good at spotting them out of practice and necessity. Fighting WN and keeping him away was a community effort.

Context that always seems to be omitted from your trollish look posts like this.

Why is accusing long-standing users of being WN (as you’ve done several times now recently) any better?

1. You posted your side of a private Memechat discussing a sensitive issue which the user corresponding with you intended to stay private. In this case the content of that message provides no compelling reasons to breach that trust.

2. You linked a meme/discussion thread from a different stream that isn’t related to IMGFLIP_PRESIDENTS.

That’s two straightforward mudslinging rule violations. I’ve flagged, the mods of this stream can decide.

however, the mudslinging rule applies to “attack ads”. i don’t see how his comment was an attack *ad*.

to address the memechat part i’m not sure what the rules are for sharing meme chats, but i personally don’t see a problem with sharing his own messages if it’s just his own.

I think that interpretation of the rule is too limited, and throws open the gates for the comments sections here (which are just as important for voters as the featured ads, maybe moreso) to be flooded with irrelevant material from all around Imgflip for candidates looking to jockey for advantage.

And I think the government is entitled to disagree with your interpretation.

if the comment or image is made to garner votes, or push voters away from said candidates, and links to something from a separate stream, that does violate the rule. however, his comment was instead made in defense of a user, did not mention the election or other parties. that is my ruling.

He’s not really defending a user, IMO, since I didn’t attack them. Not here on the stream, and not in public ever to the best of my recollection. And I’d have no reason to now, as the account is now deleted.

(Without getting into the weeds, Tl;dr I had questions about one account in a series of accounts that purported to be “comeback accounts” of a good friend of mine. I co-modded and owned some streams he founded with his first account so I viewed it as my duty to try to suss out if these others were real. Some of the personalities of the “comeback accounts” didn’t match, so I had suspicions. That user was also trolled and harassed by others on Imgflip, and I feared he might be being impersonated by these comeback alts.)

Returning to PRESIDENTS — Andrew’s comment is instead part of a narrative he’s pushing to try to distinguish Pepe Party from RUP Party as you’ll see from his other recent comments. It constitutes campaigning on that basis.

So, I respect your decision and will lobby hard to overturn it. :)

Myself, RichardChill24, Wubbzymon and many others all initially supported his campaign. I was surprised as everyone else when I discovered the truth about him. That meme was posted before I learned of WN's true nature. And with that in mind I am happy that LaChancla won instead of a nazi. Being a White Supremacist is worse than being inactive. Plus I was never a "staunch supporter". I barely even knew him. And I find it disgraceful how a community moderator would intentionally falsely accuse another user of being an alt of a banned nazi troll just because I'm running against you in a roleplay election. Grow up.

And you can tell I made a point when he doesn't respond. Usually I can't get Andy to shut up. Then he goes completely silent whenever I bring up his worst actions.
