Maybe they meant the last episode of the original cartoon, not including any of the reboots.

I'm just a tad late here, but that would also be false. The last episode of the original series was in fact a mostly normal episode about Jerry realizing that he has a tendency to physically terrorize Tom while sleepwalking, so he tries (and fails) to pull an all-nighter at all costs, with predictable results.
