Here's the question I always ask when people throw out stupid suggestions:

- If the other side had power, would you want them to make the same-calibre decision as you yourself are advocating for?

I.E: If anti COVID vaxxers gained power, would you want them to ban all COVID vaccinations? No...you'd say, "Let us make our own decisions!"

What comes around can go around. Best not forget that.

Who knows? The point is, if they were in control and only wanted to exert as much influence as you are advocating to be exerted now, they could ban you from getting a COVID shot even if you wanted one.

Presumably, and rightly, you'd think that's unfair...so why argue for the same level of blanket authority to be exerted on those with whom you disagree?
