"Rawhide" was a very popular western television series that ran from January 1959 to January 1966.
It starred Clint Eastwood and Eric Fleming and featured a theme by Frankie Laine.

The show saw a revival after the well-known theme song was prominently featured in the plot of "The Blues Brothers" (1981). In that movie, the brothers were forced to play it, as it was the only western song the band knew.
