In case you're wondering about my issue with Bush, his invasion of Iraq, along with the mishandled management of the country allowed terror organisations to spring up and gain more and more power. It is nicely explained in this video, even if it is quite old: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AQPlREDW-Ro

[Reagan liked that insightful critique of his own policies] | image tagged in ronald reagan no no he s got a point | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
I would like to think Reagan at least had enough personal integrity and decency to recognize the long-term failures of his policies, had he lived to see them.

He did apologize for Iran-Contra, after all.

Reaganism may have paved the way for Trumpism, but Reagan himself was not a flagrant reality-distortion field. He was a basically decent through misguided guy, like George W. Bush.

Basically this.

I think he was a good President overall, but definitely not as amazing or awful as some think.

There's a super interesting book called, "The Pope and the President" that details his work with Pope St. John Paul II. Very good read for anyone who enjoys relatively unknown history!
