I don't know a lot about Kay Ivey, but from what I've seen, she is nowhere in the same league as governors like Ron DeSantis, Greg Abbott, or Kristi Noem. She seems more like an establishment figure, like Mitch McConnell. Comments like the one she made are definitely worrying, because it just proves to show how willing those we thought were on our side will cast us aside and bend the knee to Joe Biden and the Democrats. I'm not against vaccines, in fact if you are able to, I encourage you to talk to your doctor and if your doctor agrees the vaccine is safe for you, you should take it. However, this pressure from the government, as well the JoeHoevah's Witlesses and the threats of more lockdowns is downright creepy at best, and potentially our downfall into authoritarianism at worst. Maybe I'm getting the wrong impression of Kay Ivey, but considering what we're seeing at the federal level, there are very few politicians I trust currently.

If you don't trust your doctor, then get a different doctor. You aren't going to hire a plumber to fix your pipes if you can't trust him to get the job done right. Same goes with doctors. You have to get out there and do the research and find one you trust.

Nobody's saying diet and exercise don't play a role and nobody actually coherent is saying vaccines are some magic cure. That's idiotic. Vaccines are a preventative measure to create antibodies to help your body fight a disease better. Sometimes the disease overpowers the antibodies or you catch a different strain and you still get sick.

No it's not. The common cold virus is a coronavirus, as is Covid, but they are not the same thing. That would be like saying humans and chimpanzees are the same thing just because we're both primates.

1. Not everybody gets a flu shot.
2. There's different strains of flu. It's not like scientists know what strain of flu is going to be spreading each flu season. A vaccine isn't going to work as well against a strain it wasn't designed to combat.
3. Like I already said, even if you have the correct vaccine to protect against the correct strain, vaccines aren't a magic cure. Sometimes the disease still overpowers the antibodies and sometimes you can still die.
