Indeed, but that's not what the meme talks about. That's what the right wing calls it. The meme says nothing about guilt. Not does it imply you should have guilt.

Then why the tag?

To bring people who search for such things to be brought into the conversation that they might learn they're not experiencing guilt, rather sympathy and perhaps empathy. Guilt implies that the person experiencing it has had some part in the crime. Such a concept is false at the start as no one living can share such guilt. There is nothing wrong with sympathy. Quite the opposite in fact and that's the point of the meme.
