I first read it in one of my liberal sites you probably wouldn’t trust. It didn’t list the date. The Washington Post also carried this story (not just Rand Paul in favor of vaccines then against them now) but that story is behind a pay wall.

As for the site you mentioned, I admit I can't trust something if they can't point to a primary reference. I'll see if I can't find it myself, though.
Good thinking. My father is a retired journalist and he taught me to read stories this way. Who wrote it? Why did they it write? Are they reporting or are they pushing an ideology?
I know a lot of the sites I go to are bias against conservatives. I don't make a meme from every story I read because a lot of it is opinion and not actual reporting. But I also go to sites like The Hill (I don't watch TV media except for the local news) to read conservative articles because I need to understand what the "other side" is thinking or being told.
