As bad as Oregon is, double that and then some is what Canada's lost.
And as far as Hitler doing any good goes, well, oof...German economic recovery was technically a thing because the state just assumed debts and then basically said, 'eff you' to creditors...it's tough for people to threaten you with debt collection or ruin your currency if you'll probably kill them in return.
I know more about WWII and the surrounding decades than most and there genuinely isn't much good you can say about him specifically. In a generalistic sense he was a great orator, but that's not particularly special. His early painting work is actually pretty interesting, and you can tell he'd have been a great architect, but that obviously never happened...really the only good thing I can think of was his desire for every German to have a car (hence the evolution of the Volkswagen (People's car)), but that is nothing, really, when we're talking about a man so evil he'd be one of the few I'd confidently say was truly beyond redemption.
