On, Reaper_The_Game_God | Reaper_The_God_Of_Games has lately come under fire w/ many calling him a Pedo for his opinion w/ regard to person-to-person meeting from one who is online. To him, not all person extending such invitations are Pedos. You must remember that Reaper is of a much older generation. The internet was introduced in the 1990's & H... T... was a new threat in the eyes of the public. To put this into perspective the movie, "H... T..." was released in 2005 & the music video, "Run Away Train", 2010. It could be argued that Reaper is insufficiently informed, but older people like him & remembered how safe it used to be. Of course we're all taught not to talk to strangers, but again, the said evils were a reality that was only beginning to be understood in early 2000's. Reaper replied that he should at least get his number. And argument ensued, with Reaper claiming that not all those asking to meet is a Pedo.

One of the people he argued with made her own post, warning about the dangers of meeting people from the internet, and he was being discussed there: imgflip.com/i/5fm5rc

I can see it from his perspective as I am not too far from his age. I am 42, and the notion of the said evils were to me an unknown danger when growing up.

I remember the internet then, We were not a rich family but we've had a computer and the internet. This was during the late 90's I believe and I was still in high school then.

It wasn't until I've watched the, said movie, that I suddenly become aware of the growing, utterly depraved evil. That, truly opened my eyes.

If you're wondering what is "H... R...", I cannot tell you that; not until you're an adult. I'll just say that it is one of the worst evils that is inflicting humanity right now. And Porn is the catalyst for it.

Yes. I don't blame them, and for me, I would not allow any meeting. Not when it involves the underaged.

Adults like you and I are a different story.

The brain of the underaged does not fully developed until they reach the age of 16-18. Before full development they are not totally capable of understanding things as adults do so they are vulnerable to predators. This is why we have law protecting the young by barring them from drinking to owning firearms until 21.

This is also the reason why adults are forbidden to have a relationship and marry the underaged.

So with us, we can meet people from the internet because we're more discerning. ; but of course that does not preclude us from taking steps to ensure our safety. We face additional threats of robbery, murder, labor trafficking, etc. But, we're more discerning, they are not.
