It's not a belief system, only the lack of one

You believe that there is no diety in the universe, but you cannot prove it.

No proof of existence is not proof of no existence.

Yes it can be proven that there isn’t a god (you literally did my work for me with your final statement). For the sake of the argument, let’s just say there’ s only a possibility that there is one. Well, they obviously don’t want to be found. Will humans ever find them? Probably not. But I personally think we’re fine without them anyways. We don’t need someone who obviously doesn’t care.

Anyways, like I stated before, atheism isn’t faith based. I’ve went into detail about this in a previous comment.

Atheism is the faith based religion that there are no deities in the universe.

It’s not faith based. Faith is believing in something without any proof or evidence whatsoever. Atheism is is the polar opposite of faith. We use what we’ve observed to come to a conclusion. Many atheists use science and religions themselves to conclude that there are no gods. I, for example, used science and the flawed thinking of Christianity specifically to deduce my conclusion.

Using what you observe to draw a conclusion means that the world must conform to your perception or it doesn't exist.

Have you cataloged every star in the sky?

Do you deny the existence of things that you are unaware of?

I am not pushing the concept of a God or a Diety, but I am pushing the concept of a logical debate.

If you lack proof of a theory, then you're belief in it requires faith.

“ Using what you observe to draw a conclusion means that the world must conform to your perception or it doesn't exist” that’s the very basis of human understanding. Humans understand the world through their observations. That’s why it’s important to broaden your view and see as much as possible.

“Have you cataloged every star in the sky?” No, but who has?

“Do you deny the existence of things that you are unaware of?” An example would’ve been nice, but I’ll the unicorn. I believe that unicorns don’t exist. Why? Because there’s not any evidence that suggests they do. And if later I found out that there is solid evidence that unicorns exist, then I’ll change my beliefs and say that unicorns exist. Same goes for religion. Until there’s solid evidence and not just personal experiences and god gap arguments than I’ll change my views.

Also, every atheist is different. It’s unfair and just incorrect to say atheism as a whole uses faith. Are there atheists that use faith? Sure. Not all atheists have reach the conclusion that there’s no god(s) the same way. It’s perfectly fine to use faith, but to say everyone has isn’t. Also I appreciate your respectfulness, others wouldn’t be so respectful to me.

So what makes you sure that there is no deity?

No one has proven there isn't one either, so it is more down to a personal opinion. Like a coin that has just been flipped, will it be heads or tail you don't know until it lands.

If you tell me no. This depends on the person, if they have proven themselves to be trustworthy and honest I'm more likely to believe them. Some religion's say we are made in the image of God, while some atheists think that human are just something the universe made out by chance. One says life is important and the other says life is meaningless after death. To some people Religion is a reason to live for some and to others just annoying. Whether God is real or not, the idea of God has done more good for humans than the idea of no God. People want to be good, some people need the idea of God. Side note, democrats are trying to remove God. The democrats need God

Plato's Allegory of the cave
You could be looking at proof and told it is evidence, but it would not matter unless you understand it.

Let's say a person said he met God and. the only proof would be his word. He tells others some believe him and others won't. The ones that don't will ask questions like 'why isn't standing here then?' All he can say 'because he is not' which sounds like a lousy excuse and not proof they want. The man doesn't have to prove God exists, for he already knows God exists. The point is trust and faith.

Everyone who says there isn't hasn't either, hence the Agnostic bumper sticker that says "I don't know and you don't either"

Hence Atheism is the faith based religion that there is no diety in the universe.

Atheist denies something that cannot be disproven, thus the faith that there is no deity.
