Can I answer this as an Ex-Christian?

Yes

Ok so quick note that ALL of my family doesn’t know I’m an atheist and still thinks I’m a Baptist.

I’m closeted (sexuality) to everyone except my parents and friends. My family doesn’t talk about LGBTQ+ that often and kinda like to pretend we don’t exist. However, when we do talk about LGBTQ+, it’s very clear we are looked down upon. Some of my family is just like, “I pity those poor people” and others are more, “Yeah idc about them and they need to repent”. So to answer your question, yes they would probably see my sexuality as a sin.

As for my gender, they think anyone who’s trans binary or non binary is “just not right in the head”. Would it be considered a sin? Probably not. But would they see me as delusional? Ofc!

Well I cant rlly answer this from a Christian perspective but maybe I could offer a different perspective as a LGBTQ Muslim if you’d like?

I’m a Sunni Muslim and I am out of the closet as lesbian. Ive never been to a Mosque or had any community bc I’m in America and IDK any other Muslim peeps, but The Quran says to treat everybody with respect, and equality. Including in His Last Sermon,

“All mankind is from Adam and Eve, an Arab has no superiority over a non-Arab nor a non-Arab has any superiority over an Arab; also a white has no superiority over a black nor a black has any superiority over white except by piety and good action. Learn that every Muslim is a brother to every Muslim and that the Muslims constitute one brotherhood. Nothing shall be legitimate to a Muslim which belongs to a fellow Muslim unless it was given freely and willingly. Do not, therefore, do injustice to yourselves."

And while the Muslim community usually frowns on homosexuality, especially between men, In the first chapter it basically says if two verses contradict eachother take the most recent one. I belive that applies here.
IDK how any others would treat me, but I know Allah loves all,

I'm a methodist!! Yes I'm out and yes it's a sin!! But my Church believes it is not my fault and even if they don't approve it's their job to welcome and love everyone!! ^_^
