w e l l if we were going to with the literal sense of it and not the metaphorical sense of what humans have created through society
then people exist to be born reproduce and then die
and that's it
but humans being humans complicated that since we have conscious thought and don't do stuff purely on instinct making us unique in our own right from other beings on the earth and complicating the meaning of life to something we can't know outright since it will be different for whatever an individuals views and goals are
