It's all about activity and interaction. Who_am_i and the others have so many points because they are very active pumping out images and interactive on their images.

As for why nothing on the actual point, beats me. I thought you did actually get something at 500k, but it's been well over five years since I was actually there myself, so my memory might be a bit fuzzy on that one.
