Interesting--I hadn't thought of it that way. I found it on Pinterest along with a bunch of other odd-looking trees, e.g. Dragon's Blood trees, which only grow in Yemen and are called that because their sap is red.

I had just assumed that this tree was somehow severely deformed, e.g., from a genetic defect, not that it might be an artwork.

I meant it as sarcasm, but sure.

It's definitely an artwork. I hadn't noticed that it's in a ceramic pot. No one would uproot a tree like that and put it in a pot. Plus, none of the other trees are like that--so it definitely was deliberate.

Also, I had wondered why there is no bark on the tan and brown parts.
