“2 minutes of 35 years.” Puhhhlease. MAGA radicalism was building and building inside her for some time to lead her to the point of breaking and entering the Capitol.
This wasn’t “a mistake.” It was intentional, deliberate action aimed at overturning the votes of 81+ million Americans and ending democracy as we know it.
She was a terrorist, full stop.
Now, do I wish that bearded Neo-Nazi loser in the Camp Auschwitz shirt — or that “zip-tie guy” — had gotten the bullet instead of this healthy, good-looking (and apparently, well-loved by friends and family) veteran in the prime of her life? Yes, I do.
There were even worse terrorists at that riot, no doubt.
But that ain’t how life shakes out sometimes.
Honestly, the other MAGA rioters are all lucky to have escaped that fiasco with their lives. The police would have been well within their rights to have opened fire on more of them.
The fact this otherwise apparently upstanding woman paid for this transgression with her life only underscores how hitting the MAGA crack pipe can ruin your life all on its own.
It’s not just Neo-Nazis and the KKK anymore. Right-wing terrorism has gone mainstream.
