The path forward for Israel is unclear. The country is at war with itself in a literal sense, and faces enormous obstacles and challenges that it may yet fail to meet. But today, Israeli parties across religions and the ideological spectrum united to eject a fascist ideologue, using normal democratic processes, overcoming intimidation and abuse. That is something for us all around the world to look to for inspiration, and take comfort in.
