While the vaccine may have mortality as a result for some people, I still feel like COVID is more dangerous than the vaccine... 🤷

Over 285 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through May 24, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 4,863 reports of death (0.0017%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine.

The case fatality rate for children with COVID is
0.0265% (0 to 5yo) / 99.973% survivability rate; and
0.0106% (6 to 17yo) / 99.989% survivability rate.

So if your 0.0017% is correct, children 6 to 17 years old have greater chance dying from vaccine than COVID.

Where did you get those numbers? The ones I found were kind of old, and after you posted thi I looked for these number and couldn't find them.

Older people yes, but we were discussing children.

What I'm saying is the ~2 case fatality rate is obviously not balanced. Most deaths are older people and fewer deaths are younger. I would imagine that younger people are going to have fewer fatal reactions to the vaccine. That isn't proof, mind you just a theory. It could in fact be higher for all I know.

But, even so, if we compare the percentages against a million people.
0-5 year old with COVID - 265 deaths
6-17 year old with COVID - 106 deaths
any age getting the vaccine - 17 deaths

So, the vaccine with the percentages you provided is not more deadly.
