Anime is not cartoon

I mean a cartoon is a “motion picture using animation techniques to photograph a sequence of drawings rather than real people or objects.“ so anime’s a cartoon it just isn’t exactly a stereotypical cartoon

I guess anime is a cartoon in the sense that a Diamond is a rock
