President Eisenhower wants a "grand plan for a properly articulated (highway) system that solves the problems of speedy, safe, transcontinental travel - intercity transportation - access highways - and farm-to-farm movements - metropolitan area congestion -bottlenecks - and parking". That was 1955 planning for 1995. Now we should ask: What will make us safer, richer and happier in 2061?
