Like you wouldn't apologize for misspeaking when a $146,000,000 project's success is on the line? What's that? And now you're lying.

There is a difference for apologizing for an error and apologizing to a dictatorship for recognizing Taiwan as a nation.

Yea, a possible $146,000,000 difference.

I don't care. If sacrificing my Right To Free Speech is the price of Chinese box office, I'll take the loss of a payday.

He had the right to free speech, he chose to use it.

He used his Right To Free Speech when he acknowledged Taiwan's existence. He shouldn't have to apologize for it, especially to a F**KIN' dictatorship. Unfortunately, Hollywood, the same Hollywood that bitches about "systemic Racism", shuts up and bends over when China pulls out its wallet and thus, we got the guy who played The Marine being coerced into apologizing to Xinnie The Pooh in the worst Chinese I've ever heard.

And he used his free speech to apologize.

No. Free Speech is what one chooses to say. Coercion is forcing someone to say what you want them to say.

And he said what he wanted to say. What can't you understand about that. He had a choice and he chose. His reasons are his reasons. Pretty basic stuff. If you feel he made a bad choice, you're free to say so. You also may feel compelled to speak against him for fear your peers will think less of you if you do not. In that case you are coerced. See - I have not clue to your thinking either. So, I would not make such an accusation.

I do not fear my peers. I am pointing out that he was in the wrong and that his bosses were the ones who made him apologize.

If you're saying his bosses used him to apologize, I can see that.
