In a round about way, America has been kinda cozying up with being the spiritual successor of the British Empire.
This marriage between the 2, and the current landscape...I wouldn't say that possibility is RIGHT around the corner but it looks like it's getting set up for the near future, probably in a hidden way.
It's like they go through the motions of democracy to distract us from the fact that an oligarchy is pulling the strings.
