Why are the saying "Good mental health is important and you shouldnt stay up late" And then give us a book report due by tomorrow morning, making us stay up all night doing homework. They also say that depression is bad but they give us tons of work and if we dont finish it we get punished, making us depressed. I just want to know why this is because I think its SUPER stupid.

I'm not sure I know of any teacher that would make you read an entire book and write a report on it in one night, I personally think homework is pointless, why make kids spend 6 + hours at school and give them more work at home. Let kids be kids and spend time with their family and friends. What kind of punishment?

Looks better if the teacher can prove you learned something from the movie and can apply it to a state standard of learning. Your teacher has to write a lesson plan for literally everything that happens in the class. A movie is a great break from having to actually teach, lol

Teachers preference. Personally I can't stand homework and feel kids' time at home should be spent with family and or friends unwinding so I hardly ever give homework in my own class unless the kid was falling behind and needed the extra work.

What's the worst thing you have ever seen as being a teacher?

I'm going to have to go with the time I taught at a drug and alcohol rehab. It was really heartbreaking seeing what some of the kids had gone through with their parents MIA due to overdose, going to jail, even saw kids taken from their parents by CPS. Definately the toughest job I had to do but I tried to be there for the kids to best I could. I wanted to adopt them all truth be told.

Would you rather teach a misbehaving preschool class or misbehaving high school class?

imma have to go with preschoolers, toddlers can easily be distracted by a silly song, or a picture of a cool bug and they are eager to please. High schoolers have all sorts of personal and social drama going on and often don't care what the adults in the room have to say. I can't keep up with all the emotions. Although I have a soft spot for them since they're nearly adults I want to be able to guide them also in a positive way.

why in economics class when i finish all of my work the teacher gives me MORE work and then she labels it as ¨practice¨ when its really revenge because i corrected her on her thinking 1´000 yen is 1$ when its actually 100 yen that's 1$ and then my writing teacher cancels one of her assignments as soon as i was done making the 500 WORD paper she then said that the paper was to much for her to read. i have more but i'm tired so ill vent tomorrow

I'd say that was not very economical of your economics teacher, and a writing teacher that doesn't read what her students wrote? Hmmm, maybe perhaps they chose the wrong occupation, or they were having a bad day or didn't plan well. There could be a host of reasons, and I can't get into their minds to know.
