Equality and equity DON'T mean the same thing...they are polar opposites

Equality is both of us being permitted to buy a house. Equity means we can afford to buy the same house. Unlikely true.

Equity is equality of outcome. That is something that a society can achieve ONLY through the removal of all freedoms and brutal oppression. In order to achieve equality of outcome, you must utterly strip all of a society of equality of opportunity. And still, even then, it is never going to happen. There will always be a ruling class to take everything they stripped you of for themselves.
